Celeste is growing and changing everyday. She started cooing this week. So cute. She's different than Isaac but a lot the same. She's a little rounder looking than he was. I also don't recall him smiling or cooing this soon at 4 1/2 weeks. She is a good little sleeper. I realized that if I just let her fuss a little in the night, she goes back to sleep. So last night and the night before she only got up 1 or 2 times. I feel a lot better when I get enough sleep, so this has been bery good. She is a sweetie! She has that little girl squeal when she cries. It sounds almost like whining. Isaac never did that.
Now Isaac, on the other hand, has had a very hard time adjusting. He needs a lot of undivided attention which, at times, is hard to give. Especially when Brian first comes home from work. Isaac will not let Brian and I talk for any amount of time without getting right in the middle of things. It's o.k., I guess. He stayed in his own bed last night... yes! He's been coming in every night when the baby wakes him up.
I'm thinking about when I go back to work in a couple of weeks. I'm sure the transition will be very hard. Celeste is a good baby, but she really likes to be held. Hopefully, she can get that kind of attention at day care. I've loved dressing her up like a little girl. She's got several cute bows we've been putting in her hair-- (her hair is still very dark). Her eyebrows and hairline are both red, so it'll be neat to see how she turns out.
I forgot how much infants sleep! I've really enjoyed the down time. This week we have been going on more walks. I've tried to stop eating so much. I'm still at around 160, so I've got to drop some weight. I go to my 6 week Dr. appt. this Friday. Hopefully she will release me to exercise again. I've also stopped eating so much food that is bad for me. I'm not buying anymore cookies, chips, ice cream, etc. I bet this will help.
I'll post an update on Celeste again soon!
