We took Isaac to see Santa on Friday and used our gift certificate to Pastabilities for dinner. He told S. he wanted a truck. That was all he wanted. Just a truck. I save my Christmas cards every year for him to look at (in a drawer in the kitchen). He found some with baby Jesus on them in a manger or a stable, according to him. He wanted to know about the 3 kings and the gifts for Jesus so I explained that to him. Here's some other fun stuff he's been doing lately. He remembers things for hours. Like yesterday when Brian was gone in the afternoon for a few hours, as soon as he came home, Isaac told him that I hid a dinosaur in daddy's closet to scare him. He told me as soon as I came home from shopping in the morning about something Brian said they talked about a long while before. Brian got a gag gift at work of self-adhesive stylish mustaches. Isaac said he was like paw-paw Buske. It was silly.

Isaac's singing Where is Thumkin right now when he's supposed to be falling asleep. His rendition doesn't quite make the cut, but it makes me laugh!
I went to get a haircut on Sat. and when I returned, Brian and Isaac had done some recording. These clips are fun. I wish I knew how to bubble them together. I'll work on it for next time. Enjoy these and smile!

October
Fall is here, even though the temps are hotter than ever! Isaac and I just went and visited with Erika (h.s. friend) and her boyfriend Andy. They are visiting Erika's sis, Jen, and the family for a few days. Shawna, Erika and I were best of friends in h.s. When I was in my car accident, they were sooooo there for me. They visited with others when I was in the hospital in Decatur and rehab. in Champaign (92). Shawna is a principal this year at a school in Champaign (I'm so proud of her!). She has had a rough start, though. Her dad is in very bad shape at a hospital in Champaign. We're praying for him (his lung collapsed). Tonight, I guess I'm the bearer of bad news. My grandma has been hospitalized this week with a bad blood infection. I will try and see her this week after work.
I got a new digital camera and tonight I'm going to try and figure it out so I can post.
Have a cool day!

New week!
I've been pulling weeds in our new grass out front this evening. Isaac and I went over to visit with Great Grandma and Grandpa. He was a ham, as always. We went on a little walk around the neighborhood. Back at home, Grandma found a trolley car from San Fransisco she wanted to show Isaac. He kept saying, "No, it's a train!" I was teasing him, saying back that it was a trolley. My grandpa said, "Did you see that? How he cut his eyes at you?" I guess he's a regular, slightly rebellious kid. I suppose it's hard to avoid. He's a good boy, though.
I just woke Isaac up with my typing so I have to stop now.

What a rainy day! We took our pictures to be developed today. I'll pick them up tomorrow. Hopefully the animals we saw at the Omaha Zoo turn out. We had a great time visiting! It was super to see old friends and a road trip is always fun, too. Isaac has harvest allergies like the rest of us. Everyone I talked to at work today had a terrible headache, like me. The fields will be cleared soon, right? One little student of mine had to go to the emergency room last night with a throat infection, most likely from the air. Yikes!
F3 went well Wed. night. Seemed like there were more people this year. I had about 10 kids. Here's another thought: the chipmunk was eating the birdseed again and he took a flying leap from the top of the deck railing to the ground. He went splat! but ran under the shed. I feel really bad for him, I hope he didn't get hurt too bad. He was a nuiscence but that little rascal could've probably lived all winter on the seed he had packed in his cheeks before the leap. Sorry guy. I need to get some corn for the little fellas so they will be fed this winter, that is if they generally can jump like that. Have a happy day.
